It's only 10 short stories in Stories and Myths.  So, you should have read up to Treasure Island.  If not, well, better cancel the rest of your weekend plans, and READ, READ, READ.  : D : D

And by tomorrow, you should be finishing up with The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, with plenty of time to work on your project.  Since everyone did so well for the poetry project, I have super high expectations for this one.

Have LOTS OF FUN, BRAINSTORMING and CREATING INNOVATIVE PROJECTS!

REMINDER: 4TH GRADERS

Hi, everyone! Just wanted to remind you that your poetry project will be due on Saturday March, 17^th, by 3 pm! : )  You should be wrapping up with your poetry reading, and starting your project this weekend. 

By the way, do you know that poets like to use personification?   What is personification?  Personification is giving human traits (qualities, feelings, action, or characteristics) to non-living objects (things, colors, qualities, or ideas). For example:  The angry clouds stormed over our heads.  The joyful fireworks glistened in the sky.  Now, can you create your own personification?  Please do share your personifications in the comment section.  Have fun!!!

Hi,

My name is Zoe. You don't know me, but all you need to know is that I am a LOT of fun!

The color I adore the most is blue- light blue, dark blue, navy blue, it doesn't matter. I just love the color!

If you want to know what I spend most of my time doing, it's playing on my Kindle Fire. I've downloaded like a million apps already!

The subject I'd like to learn more about would be poetry. I just love the rhyming and the beat of poetry but we don't need to get into that now.

My Introduction

Hello Coach Jen and class! My name is Nicholas Ng and I live in New Jersey. I live with my parents and younger brother. My favorite color is red because it always gives me a sensation of victory. I love to play with Legos and play with them any spare time I get. I like Legos because they let you use your imagination to build anything you want. I also am obsessed with riding roller coasters! They are my favorite amusement rides. I just love when they zoom up, down, left, or right! My most favorite subjects are math and history because math is fun to me and I love learning about times in history. My favorite foods are sushi and watermelon. Just looking at them makes my mouth water!

My hobby is to play sports.  My dream job is to play in NFL or to be become a professional soccer player.  My favorite color is red. My favorite toy is Lego. Hi.  My name is Victor.  My favorite color is orange.  It is my favorite color because it looks cool.  I also like pink.  It is cool too.  My least favorite color is red and blue.  My favorite subject is spelling.  It is my favorite subject because I can spell many different kinds of words.  I also like math.  I always get 100% on my spelling tests at school.  I still don’t know what I’m going to be when I grow up.  I like making comics, playing Minecraft (It is a kind of computer game), using my computer, playing the Wii, and building with Lego’s.  These are some Wii games I like: New Super Mario Bros Wii, Lego Star Wars, Wii Party, Wii Sports, Just Dance 2, Just Dance 3, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, and Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure. 
My favorite Lego theme is Lego Ninjago.  It is my favorite Lego Theme because I like ninjas and Lego Ninjago has ninjas.  I have more than 7 Lego Ninjago sets.  Some animals I like are cheetahs, penguins, dragons, and snakes.  Another thing I like to do is to make origami things.  Here are SOME of the things I can make in origami: Tank, Star Box, Regular Box,
Beating Heart (That can really beat), 4 Sided Ninja Star, 8 Sided Transforming Ninja Star (That can really transform), 16 Sided Ninja Star, Swan, Crane, and Flapping Bird (That can really flap).  My favorite sport is ping-pong.  Another sport I like to play is tennis.  That is pretty much all the stuff about me (Maybe).
