A LESSON ON PH
Every chemical in the world has a pH. The pH scale goes from pH 1 to pH 14. Vinegar is an acid. Its pH is about 2. On the pH scale, less than 7 is an acid. Baking soda is a base. Its pH is about 8. On the pH scale, higher than 7 is a base. If a base is higher than 7, and if an acid is lower than 7, what is pH 7? Can you name something with a pH of 7.
